Do Something Now

‘We are committed to a more sustainable future’

‘We are pledging to do more for the world by 2030’

‘We believe we can do more to help the next generation’

This holiday season, don’t pledge vague future focused statements that you may or may not deliver on which some companies love to do.

Instead, do something now.

-Do something kind for a stranger with no expectation of the favor being returned (e.g. hold open a door, thank your server with a personal note of gratitude for their work along with the tip, give a pack of hand warmers to the local crossing guard )

-Make a donation to a charity that has meaning to a loved one

-When buying a gift this holiday season put thought into getting something that can be reused, repurposed or passed on after the gift recipient is done with it

-Take the time to teach someone something (show a coworker a shortcut in Excel, teach your parents how to store their photos in the cloud)

-Do something to help preserve the world for the next generation (e.g. use own mug instead of getting a red holiday paper cup, buy a water filter for home drinking water instead of bottled water)
